Chicken Parmesan is an Italian food. Hence, it is a good source of protein, though it might be high in calories and fat because it’s been fried and also contains cheese.
But if you want to make it healthy, you can take it with vegetables or salad, or you can bake the chicken instead of frying it.
What To Serve With Chicken Parmesan
Chicken Parmesan can be served with different dishes, such as:
- Pasta, like fettuccine or spaghetti
- Salad, with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber etc
- Mashed or roasted potatoes
- Crusty Italian bread
- Garlic bread
- Roasted vegetables like asparagus, broccoli or bell peppers
So let’s take a look at chicken Parmesan recipes and its preparation method.
Recipes
- 2 cups bread crumbs (Italian style)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 3 eggs
- 4 shredded cups mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper
- chicken breast( any amount you want)
- 1 or 2 cups marina sauce
- 1/2 cup flour
- Fresh basil leaves (though optional)
Preparation method:
- First pound the chicken breast until it becomes thin.
- Then season the chicken breast.
- Bring three plates or containers, and put flour in one; put the beaten eggs in one; and then in the other one, you will put a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Then deepen each of the chicken breast in the flour, also into the beaten eggs and in the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese mixture.
- Put olive oil in the frying pan and heat it.
- Once it’s hot, add the chicken breast and fry until it is golden brown.
- Then place the chicken breast on a baking dish and spread a little marina sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese inside the chicken breast and under it.
- Then bake in a pre-heated oven for like 30 minutes until the cheese melts and the chicken is done.
- Garnish it with the basil leaves, if available, and then serve hot.
